Faithfulness // Fruits of the Spirit //

I have had the privilege to share with you a word from one of my close friends, Nicole. She is a beautiful photographer, and if you would like to check out her website, which you absolutely should, you can do so here. She absolutely walks with peace and an understanding of who God is. I am so thankful for her and her heart of faithfulness towards others, and ultimately, God. So, here we go.

My dad's job led us all around the world by the time I was thirteen (We moved about every two years.) This journey didn't make growing up the easiest, but it taught me a lot about God's character from an early age.

My parents would spend days to months praying about our next move, and if they saw it fit for our family. Sometimes the Lord would say "Yes", sometimes it was a hard "no", and other times it felt as though there was no answer at all - and the season we walk through i life can be just like this.

If the Lord says "Yes" - we'd pick up our lives and head to the next place.

If the Lord said "No" - we stayed put without hesitation.

If we didn't hear anything at all - we waited.

We can be faithful to God without hesitation or fear because He has been nothing but faithful to us since the beginning of time.

Our story has given me the ability to see how God perfectly pieces things together when we stay faithful to His Word. The moves we made when given the go-ahead by God were life changing - we were blessed with the greatest of people, churches, work places, schools, houses, cars, opportunities, and communities.

Stay put until you hear His Voice.

Stay faithful to the Faithful One.

"Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps His word." - Hebrews 10:23

Staying faithful to God is a daily decision. It hardly ever comes easy, but it;s always worth it, and always rewarding in His timing.

"But you, Israel, are my servant. You're Jacob, my first choice, descendants of my good friend Abraham. I pulled you in from all over the world, called you in from every dark corner of the earth, telling you, 'You're my servant, serving on my side. I've picked you. I haven't dropped you.' Don't panic, I'm with you. There's no need to fear for I'm your God. I'll give you strength. I'll help you. I'll hold you steady, keeping a firm grip on you." - Isaiah 41:8-10

He has chosen to stay faithful to you even when you can't see it. Every morning you wake and every evening your head hits the pillow, will you choose to stay faithful to Him and His word in return?
