About This Valley...

Ezekiel 37:1-4, 7, 14

1 The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 And He led me around among them, and behold, they were very dry. 3 And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, 'O Lord God, you know.' 4 Then He said to me, "Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the Word of the Lord." 7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, there was a sound, and behold, a rattling, and the bones came together, bone to its bone. 14 Then the Lord said, "And I will put my Spirit within you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord; I have spoken, and I will do it, declared the Lord."

To break this story down for you, God took Ezekiel out into this huge valley that was full of bones. God tells Ezekiel to prophesy to the bones that they would come back to life and make an army. He did just as God told Him to and they came back to life. They were created into human beings from dry bones.

That's a weird story but it carries such power and importance.

Your dreams that have been dried up and in the valley for a while God can revive in a moment.

Maybe you've been in a valley season for a while. Ditto. Maybe you're wandering and questioning if you brought yourself here or if God lead you here. Maybe you're really unsure of what you're supposed to do let alone where in the world you are. Maybe spiritually you're looking at this pile of dry bones resembling all your hopes and dreams and it's overwhelming.

Maybe you just need to start prophesying to your valley.

Your words carry power and authority. When you believe that whatever you ask for in prayer will be done for you, nothing is impossible. Dry bones can come back to life. Seas can be calmed. The impossible becomes possible.

God told Ezekiel to prophesy and simply because God told him to do it, he did it. And the bones came to life just as the Lord said they would.

If God told you to prophesy to your hopes, dreams, goals, and possibilities, would you do it?

I'm gonne leave you with this thought.

What if your breakthrough came in the valley?

Yes the bones dried up in the valley but we cannot forget this pivotal part in the story where the bones are revived in the valley. You do not have to wait until you're at the mountaintop to be changed by God.

God will transform you in the valley.

He will breathe life into you in the valley.

He will bring restored hope to you in the valley.

He will teach you some of the most unfathomable things while you're in that valley.

I think valleys carry so much power and importance in our love story with Dad. Because there's something about when you feel like you're wandering and you don't know where in the world He is that you learn something life-changing.

Only after walking through the valley can you confidently say, "GOD IS MY SHEPHERD, I LACK NOTHING."

Can you confidently say that God is your Shepherd? Really, let's be honest here. Can you trust Him with your life no matter what you go through? Can you trust that you lack no good thing in Him?

I am standing right here with you. I am walking my own journey where I am learning to trust Him and surrender everything. I'm learning to let go of the control that we cling so closely to and to run to His arms that are wide open. I want to encourage you my letting you know that you are not alone. You don't ever have to feel like you're fighting alone. He's got you and He's never letting go.

No matter where you stand, He is right there with you. Be encouraged today and trust that no matter what kind of valley or mountaintop you find yourself in, God will meet you there.
